1.3 Define the Target Audience Down to the "Skin Condition" Level

2.1 Clarify "Must-Have" and "Free-From" Ingredients
Must-Have Ingredients should specify:
The INCI name (not the trade name, to reduce ambiguity).

Which product's absorption speed can be used as a reference.
Which product's scent profile can be referenced (or explicitly state "fragrance-free").
Which product is a direction you explicitly do not want (negative references are equally effective).
The sampling phase is another critical stage. Brand owners often request adjustments based on sensory feel, absorption, or visual appearance.
